Welcome to the 2015 Port Festival

In Kaurna language, Panpa Panpalya means

conference. We learned through running conferences

that every nation holds knowledge that no-one

else possesses.

A conference is a meeting of people to learn and talk

about new ideas and share knowledge with each other.

That is what the Port Festival is about – showing off all the

great places in the Port and all our talented artists and

community in a way that people can come,

see, learn and experience. And then hopefully

they will talk about it all together.

The Port Festival is a time when we all share,

both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.

We want to show you our place and tell you

our stories; share our knowledge from a

culture that has lasted 60,000 years.

We welcome you to the Port and hope

that you have a great time while you

are here. Remember that you are on

Kaurna land and please show respect

to the land and the people.
