STORIES FROM YOUR

NEIGHBOURHOOD

Are you interested in getting to know your neighbours? Is

there a story about your community that deserves to be told

as a mini documentary?

Studies show that many people lead healthier and happier

lives and feel safer in their homes, when they know their

neighbours. Media Resource Centre (MRC) and the City of

PAE are excited to launch ‘Stories From My Neighbourhood’, a

project celebrating neighbourhood strengths in our community

through mini documentaries. MRC has a long history of

strengthening community bonds by bringing professional

filmmakers together with community members to tell the

stories of their communities.

We are looking for your ideas about living as part of a

community in the City of PAE.Your story can have a focus

on an individual, a group of residents, neighbours, a smaller

community within the Council or from a physical space like a

street. You also have the option of working with experienced

filmmakers and be involved in the making of the documentary

so you can develop skills in filmmaking through a workshop

and the actual filming.

These films will be launched at the Neighbourhood Day on

March 25.To be involved in this project, you need to be 14 or

older.

If you are interested in submitting your idea or being involved
