On the
Water
From the time of its
first human inhabitants
thousands of years ago, life
at the Port has been defined
and shaped by the water
that laps at its edges.
To celebrate the
kaleidoscope of aquatic
activities that the area plays
host to, the Port Festival
will be presenting a range
of dramatic and colourful
spectator events on the Port
River.
Dragon Boats –
Come ‘N Try
Fierce. Fast. Ferocious. But it
doesn’t bite. Dragon Boating
is one of the fastest growing
water sports in the world.
Be a part of the rich history
and tap into your ‘Dragon
Spirit’ as you sit in the Dragon
painted boat, complete
with carved head and tail,
paddling with the Dragon’s
claw to the beat of the drum.
