Rowing Display
On Saturday the Port River
once again hosts the Port
Adelaide Rowing Clubs’
Head of the Port
race as
around 30 crews of ‘fours’
and ‘eights’ vie for the title
in a time-trial competition
starting near the Old
Quarantine Station and
racing to finish opposite
the Birkenhead Tavern. The
finishes are certain to be
exciting as the rowing clubs
combine tactics, strength
and endurance to claim the
honours. On Sunday watch
the local Port Adelaide
Rowing Club crews as they
demonstrate key training
drills and finish up with a mini
race in the Inner Harbour.

the big yachts in the Twilight
Regatta, the young guns in
the 12ft Cadet Dinghy State
Championships, and the zippy
Fireballs State River titles.
