meeting statutory requirements,

considering committee reports and

to making decisions on strategies

and policies for the future of the

area.

Development

Assessment

Panel (DAP)

Established for the purpose of

acting as the relevant authority in

respect of development control

matters, it is separate from Council

and has its own procedures, terms

of reference and protocols.The role

of the DAP is to:

• Consider all development

applications referred by

Council Officers for decision.

• Act as a delegate of the

Council in accordance with

the requirements of the

Development Act 1993.

• Provide advice and reports to

the Council on trends, issues

and other matters relating to

planning or development that

have become apparent or

arisen through its assessment

of applications under this Act.

risk management systems and

other relevant functions, as set out

in the Audit Committee’s Terms of

Reference.
