including energy and water
efficient initiatives.
• New dwellings and redevelopments
consider and enable increased
accessibility to transport, shops
and services.
• Housing stock meets the needs
of a diverse range of groups within
the community.
Objective
2. An integrated transport system that
is safe, efficient, convenient and
sustainable, and that encourages the
use of alternative forms of transport.
Targets:
• Public transport usage is increased in
line with SA Strategic Plan targets.
• A reduction in fatal and serious
road accidents on Council
managed roads.
Objective
3. Pedestrian and cycle networks and
trails that provide connections within
communities and link passive and
active recreation areas.
Target:
• The implementation of Council’s Local
Area Bike Plan contributes to meeting
SA Strategic Plan targets
for cycling and walking.
