The City Plan 2010-2016 is Council’s principal strategic
planning document, guiding the Council’s direction over the
next six years. The City Plan articulates the 2030 Vision for the
community and sets the Goals and Objectives that Council,
through strong partnerships with other stakeholders and the
community, will strive to achieve to realise this Vision.
The City Plan is also an expression of the community and the
Council’s identity and its aspirations for the year 2030.
The input from the Port Adelaide Enfield community and
key stakeholders from Local and State Government has
contributed significantly to the preparation of the City Plan.
Consultation and participation by the community throughout
the development process has included:
• Feedback on the review of the City Plan 2004-2009
through a feedback form in Council’s community
newsletter Pen2Paper and on Council’s website.
• Contributions to the City Plan 2010-2016 through:
• participation at six community forums to develop the
2030 Vision and identify issues and opportunities,
• consultation with young people through the Kids
Clubs at Council’s libraries,
• displays at Council’s Community Centres and
Libraries,
• online facilities to encourage feedback and comment,
and
• invitation to the community and other key
stakeholders to provide detailed feedback on the
draft plan during the public consultation period.
