Aquifer Storage and Recovery
ASR schemes have been established in three locations across Port Adelaide Enfield. In its simplest form an ASR scheme is where
stormwater is collected in a wetland type environment, and when of suitable treated quality, is then discharged into a stable aquifer
environment (waterbody under the ground). This aquifer stores the water for later use when it can be reused for irrigation or other
purposes.
