Number of samples exceeding water quality ANZECC
thresholds for wetland sites.
Barker Inlet Wetlands - Outlet 1 discussion on monitoring results
The heavy metals recorded including zinc and lead were recorded high
above the ANZECC threshold on most occasions between June 2007 -
October 2009. The trend line indicates that there has been no increase
or decrease in heavy metals since June 2007. Copper was recorded
below the ANZECC threshold on all occasions between June 2007 -
October 2009.
Electric conductivity (EC) recorded lower than the ANZECC threshold of
3500 us/cm on most occasions between June 2007 - January 2010.
However, the trend line indicates that there has been a steady increase
in electric conductivity since June 2007.
Turbidity (NTU) recorded below ANZECC threshold of 50 NTU on most
occasions between April 2009 - January 2010. And the trend line
indicates that there has been an increase in turbidity since April 2009.
Suspended solids (SS) recorded below the ANZECC 20 mg/L threshold
on most occasions between August 2009 - June 2010. The trend line
indicates that there has been a small increase in suspended solids since
August 2009.
Barker Inlet Wetlands - Outlet 2 discussion on monitoring results
The heavy metals recorded including zinc, lead and mercury were
recorded below the ANZECC threshold on most occasions between June
2007 - October 2009. The trend line indicates that there has been an
increase of heavy metals since June 2007.
Electric conductivity (EC) recorded lower than the ANZECC threshold of
3500 us/cm on most occasions between June 2007 - January 2010. The
trend line indicates that there has been a decrease in electric
conductivity since June 2007.
Turbidity (NTU) recorded below ANZECC threshold of 50 NTU on most
occasions between April 2009 - January 2010, and the trend line
indicates that there has been a decrease in turbidity since April 2009.
Suspended solids (SS) recorded below the ANZECC 20 mg/L threshold
on most occasions between June 2007 - October 2010. The trend line
indicates that there has been no increase in suspended solids since June
2007.
