Wetland Outlet - Monitoring results
Range Wetlands monitoring data collected since August 2009 reported
anomalies in the collected data that skew the results, hence the reason for the
unpublished graphs in this report. However, the following general forecasts can
be made from the monitoring data collected. This includes:
The heavy metals recorded including zinc, lead and copper were recorded
high above the ANZECC threshold on most occasions between August
2009 - July 2010.
Nitrogen Dioxide (NOx) recorded above threshold ANZECC 0.1 on most
occasions between August 2009 - July 2010.
Electric conductivity (EC) recorded lower than the ANZECC threshold of
3500 us/cm on all occasions between April 2009 - July 2010.
Turbidity (NTU) recorded above ANZECC threshold of 50 NTU on most
occasions between April 2009 - July 2010.
Suspended solids (SS) fluctuates above and below the ANZECC 20 mg/L
threshold line between August 2009 - July 2010.

Barker Inlet Wetlands
The Barker Inlet Wetlands have been designated by the Commonwealth as
‘Wetlands of National Importance’, based on the criteria of the Australian New
