The small section of the Torrens River within the Council area is generally in good condition for the above parameters, with the
majority of good samples recorded.
Location TOR285 recorded very high Nitrate level on one occasion.
Nitrate in waters comes from fertilisers, sewage pollution, and stormwater discharges, and at high levels are likely to cause
blue-green algae blooms.
