flooding risks in the area, and the best ways to improve the quality of
stormwater that reaches the coastal systems.
A new major stormwater harvesting project has received substantial funding in
2009 from the Federal and State governments, which will see the development
of a major stormwater capture and storage facility at the Barker Inlet wetlands.
SA Water is developing this project in liaison with Council.

since 2009.
Electric Conductivity (a measure of salinity) and turbidity in Magazine
Creek has DECREASED since 2009.

2007.
Electric conductivity in Barker Inlet outlet 1 has been steadily
INCREASING since June 2007.
Turbidity in Barker Inlet Outlet 1 has been INCREASING since April 2009.
Suspended solids in Barker Inlet Outlet 1 has seen a small INCREASE
since August 2009.
Heavy metals in Barker Inlet Outlet 2 have INCREASED since June 2007.
Electric conductivity in Barker Inlet Outlet 2 has DECREASED since June
2007.
Turbidity in Barker Inlet Outlet 2 has been DECREASING since April 2009.
Suspended solids in Barker Inlet Outlet 2 has been STEADY since June
