PORT ON SHOW FOR SCOUTS

In January, South Australia played host to over 11,000 Scouts

from right around the world at the Australian Scout Jamboree.

More than 4,000 of them came to Port Adelaide to check out

local attractions including the museums and taking a

dolphin cruise.

The National Railway Museum, Port Adelaide organised two

special Adelaide Metro charter trains to bring the scouts to Port

Adelaide each day for seven days, using the existing railway link

and railway station within the grounds of the railway museum and

dropping them right at the door of their first

local stop.

Mayor Claire Boan stopped in at the Railway Museum to greet a

group of excited Scouts, before they ran off to check out some

of the other local attractions.

AVOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

The Café is a not-for-profit café based in the heart of the Kilburn

Community Centre. It provides great coffee and delicious light

meals and cakes. People from the community come to enjoy the

atmosphere, have a chat with each other and generally enjoy

the café.

The Café is looking for someone with relevant experience

or interest, a passion for people and a heart for service, to

volunteer one day a week with view to being trained

for management.

Please contact Sophie to chat about this further. Current hours

are Thursdays-Saturdays 10am-3pm. Phone: 0479112188 or at:
