Picturing the Port II
The unique character of the Port is
captured by talented watercolour
artist Simon Mills and photographer
John Garforth in this exhibition curated
especially for the Port Festival 2013.
Simon’s fluid lines, expressive colours and
contrasts of light and dark compliment
the attention-grabbing images of John’s
photographic journey through a side of
the Port many of us take for granted.
Wild Women Arts
Explore the artisans’ market in the garden
courtyard of Jackalope Gallery, featuring
original works by a group of diverse female
artists. Also on show will be jewellery making
demonstrations by Australian landscape
jeweller, Suzette Watkins, who has created a
‘Port Adelaide’ piece to be showcased for
the Festival. Unique, colourful, playful and
often amusing.

People I Almost
Remember
Who and what do we remember? Why
some faces and not others? Just how
accurate are the memories that are so
often coloured and shaped by time, stories
and the influence of others? And what
of the people themselves? These are just
some of the questions Lucy Thurley ponders
in this intimate exhibition of portraits and
people.
