The ‘City of Adelaide’, the world’s oldest
surviving clipper ship, is coming home to Port
Adelaide next year. Its giant rudder, built
from Eucalyptus in 1877, is already in South
Australia and is a remarkable example of
the skilled craftsmanship of Port Adelaide’s
pioneer shipbuilders. Discover this important
piece of Adelaide’s maritime heritage as you
marvel at its size and history.
