The Victoria Road Ambient Air Monitoring Report concluded that even if there is
improvement in motor vehicle emissions standards, the expected increase in
traffic volumes through the next decade is likely to continue to pose some air
quality issues associated with particulate matter concentrations in the Lefevre
Peninsula region, as well as the greater Adelaide region (Aurecon, 2009).
