The creative ingenuity of Illuminart returns
once more for the Port Festival, lighting up
the streets in a dazzling display of animated
colour and visual magic. In 2011, the award-
winning Port Inhabited projections were all
about the fascinating heritage of the area.
This year we turn our sights to the future and
what the Port could become if the limits of
our imagination were the only parameters.
As the sun sets, the imposing and historic
buildings of Lipson Street take on a whole
new life behind extraordinary projections
inspired by the impressions of local residents
as they envisage the Port of the future –
from the pleasurable and functional to the
outrageous and extremely zany.
Interactive technology will be dotted around
the precinct in the form of Illuminart’s
BIG Glowing Buttons™ giving you the
chance to interact with the projections
and add your own flavour of fun to the
building transformations. Amusement and
astonishment are virtually guaranteed for little
and big kids alike, as you take control of the
future, if only for a moment. Scenes changes
at the speed of light, to reveal colourful new
predictions for the future of our beloved Port
Adelaide.
