The Penguin and the Sea Monster -
Stringbean Puppets (NZ)
A starry eyed story about a little blue penguin who
seeks help from the night sky when his friend is captured
by a sea monster. Korora is terrified when he and his
friend are attacked by a sea monster. The moon and
stars give him the strength and confidence to go
back and fight the monster and rescue his friend.
The monster is made of all the rubbish floating in the
sea. The show introduces some constellations Maori
recognised in the sky, A mixture of string puppetry,
shadows, glove puppetry and mask are used. Family
audience for 4 to 10 year olds. 25 minute show.
