The
30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide
proposes a number of changes in the
Council area including light rail infrastructure and associated transit-orientated
developments within Port Adelaide and Outer Harbor.
The following section provides a general description on the current land use and
zoning within the Council area, and describes the land and other resource use
pressures associated with development.
Land Use Environmental Indicators
Trends
City of Port Adelaide Enfield population rate: INCREASED from 2.5%
between 2001 and 2006.
Average household size: Average number of persons per private dwelling
in South Australia DECREASED from 2.96 in 1976 to 2.37 in 2006 as the
State’s population aged, and a change emerged in the type of family and
households being formed.
