Kids Zumbatomic
Dance Classes
The Zumba® Kids program at Lefevre Community
Stadium is the ultimate dance-fitness party for young
Zumba fans ages 7-11, where they can play it loud
and rock with friends to their own rules! This program
features age-appropriate music and moves that get kids
movin’ to the beat. It’s all about feeling fearless on the
dance floor, reinforcing the idea that it’s okay to just
be yourself and dance like no one’s watching! Sessions
are held Mondays 4-4.40pm and are just $5 a class.
Contact Jo on 0422 889 866 for more information.
Kilburn’s English Program
Kilburn is one of the most culturally diverse regions of
Adelaide, with hundreds of new arrivals establishing
their first home in Australia very close to the Kilburn
Community Centre each year.
The Friday English Program at Kilburn Community
Centre was started by two local volunteers who
saw an opportunity to introduce new immigrants to
Australian language and culture in a welcoming
and supportive environment.
The English program has also resulted in many social
occasions, providing opportunities for new and long-
term residents to share stories, laughter and traditional
foods. Seeing the value of this program, Thebarton
Senior College has supported the classes by providing a
teacher to assist with English training.
The Friday English Program runs on Fridays during
school term from 9.30am-12.30pm. For information
about this and other programs on offer at Kilburn
Community Centre in 2014, please contact the centre
Coordinator on 8349 8363.

Kenpo Karate at
Hillcrest
Confidence, focus and self-control… these
are just some of the vital life skills you can
develop by participating in the friendly
Kenpo Karate classes offered at the Hillcrest
Community Centre by EHMA (Empty Hands
Martial Arts). Kenpo Karate is not a ‘martial
sport’, but a ‘martial art’ consisting of forms,
sets and techniques. EHMA is a Black Belt
School, not a club – all students aim for Black
Belt excellence.
Kenpo4Kids® (ages 5-12) will help develop your
child’s mind, body and spirit, using practical
self defense techniques that are tailored to
suit the individual, all in a friendly, supportive
team environment that leaves no one behind.
Adults can also benefit for the increase in
physical activity; do something for yourself
that will have a positive impact on your life.
Come and try your first class for free! Classes
are held Monday nights, from 5-6pm for kids
aged 5-12 years, and from 6.30-8pm of adults
of any fitness level. For further information,
please contact Sensei Tim on 0439 814 422 or
