Council on matters that concern you
in your area, and they are the people
who make the policy decisions that
guide the Council’s administration in its

Semaphore ward includes the
suburbs of Glanville, Exeter,
Semaphore, Birkenhead, Peterhead,
Largs Bay and part of Largs North.
Largs Bay and Largs North are named
after the town of Largs in Scotland
and the associated bay on the Firth
of Clyde.

has been

Enfield on behalf of Cr Aaron Ware.
Cr Aaron Ware is one of the newest
Councillors of the Port Adelaide Enfield
Council, having been elected for his
first term in 2010. Cr Ware represents
the Semaphore ward, which consists of
the suburbs of Largs Bay, Birkenhead,
Semaphore, Exeter, Glanville and part
of Largs North. Cr Ware has served on
the Heritage Incentive Grants Program
selection panel since he was elected
to Council. This panel meet annually
to make recommendations to the
Council about funding to be provided
to local heritage listed buildings and
contributory places under the Heritage
Incentive Grants program. Cr Ware can

only about roads,
rates and rubbish
and your rates
provide over 120
services to the
community.
When elected
to Semaphore Ward as a ‘grass roots’
councillor, with no political affiliation,
my aims were to be actively involved
and accessible to everyone – If you have
any concerns please contact me on
0439 485 737. My role is to represent
your interests and contribute to the
decision making process and I do this
by attending monthly council meetings,
workshops, community and sporting
functions and citizenship ceremonies
so that I can better understand and be
your voice. Some of my community
involvement includes the Aboriginal
Advisory Panel, SRFAC, Adelaide Brighton
Cement Community Group, Development
Assessment Panel and I am proudly a Port
Adelaide Rotarian. Some huge events
held are the New Years Eve fireworks,
Kite Festival, Music Festival, Greek
Festival and the amazing free family fun
day at the Semaphore Street Fair held
on the last Sunday in November. The
character of Largs Bay and Semaphore is
unique so please come visit us.
