YOUR
Public art displays
Take a moment or two next time you are in a library
to look around – you might be surprised by what you find.
Port Adelaide Enfield Public Library Service encourages
local artists, schools, groups and organisations to display
their artwork in the library.
Picture rails are available at four of our libraries to hang
a variety of art and craft mediums such as crafted quilts,
pictures, photographs and student art works. In order to keep
library display spaces current, vibrant and topical, artwork is
usually displayed for a period of six to eight weeks.
To express an interest in displaying artwork in the libraries
please contact a member of the Events and Marketing Team
at your preferred location.
Kobos available for loan
Ever wondered what an eReader is?
The Library Service has a collection of Kobo eReaders that
are available for a one-month loan - the perfect opportunity
to find out what an eReader can do. Come in to any one of
our library branches and borrow a Kobo, which has been
pre-loaded with a number of ebooks. Library staff can assist
you to access our ebook catalogue via Council’s website.
Come in and give it a try!
What’s on for kids?
The library has a range of exciting activities for children
of all ages and stages on during school terms.
Baby bounce sessions are designed especially for children
aged 0-2 years. The sessions introduce your baby to
nursery rhymes, finger plays, music, songs and stories.
Sessions are held at Greenacres and Semaphore Libraries.
Pre-schoolers can enjoy weekly story time sessions at all
of the library branches. These sessions include stories,
songs, felt boards, rhymes and craft activities.
Primary school children can come along and join in fun
activities at our Kids’ Club. Each session has a different
activity and may include cooking, craft, puzzles, games,
special guests and more. Kids’ Club is available at Enfield,
Greenacres and Semaphore Libraries.
