Meet your Councillors from Northfield Ward
Cr Mark Basham
Cr Anne-Marie Hubycz
Cr Anne-Marie
Hubycz is a business
owner and also a
foundation member of
the Australian Local
Government Women’s
Association (ALGWA)
SA with a passion for serving the needs
of her community. She has served on
Council for 12 years and has been
involved in activities in the local area for
over 40 years. These activities include
membership of State Emergency Services,
North East Community House, committee
member of Northgate Oakden Residents’
Association and Valley View Kindergarten.
Currently she serves on Council’s
Aboriginal Advisory Panel and ALGWA
SA committee. She has contributed to
the Western Region Climate Change
Adaptation Plan, believing it is one of the
most difficult challenges our community
will face in the next 80 years. Anne-Marie,
who is married to a serving member of the
RAAF and has a daughter, enjoys playing
golf at the Valley View Golf Course with
her family and practicing at the Valley
View Golf Driving Range.
Cr Matt Osborn is
one of Council’s
newest members,
having been elected
for the first time in
2014. Matt says he is
proud to represent the
area that he and his wife have lived in for
six years and he is committed to ensuring
that local residents have improved access
to Council facilities and services. Matt
is a work health and safety consultant
and he volunteers with several community
organisations, including the Australian
Army Cadets and his church.
Born and raised in the north-eastern
suburbs, Matt says he is excited
by the growth and renewal that
is currently happening within the
community, particularly around the
Lightsview development in Northgate.
Matt enjoys walking with his wife
in local parks, cheering on the Adelaide
City Football Club and going out for
meals at local cafés. He is currently
undertaking post-graduate studies in
public policy and hopes to combine
these skills with his passion for helping
people to contribute strongly to
the community.

Cr Mark Basham was
elected to Enfield
Council in 1991 for
the ward comprising
the suburbs just
east of Hampstead
Road. In 1994 he
moved to what is now Northfield Ward
and was elected as a Councillor for the
ward in 1995, serving continuously
since then, having lived in the suburbs
of Valley View, Greenacres and Oakden,
where he and Donna currently reside.
Mark is the proprietor of a marketing
and public relations company. A
former State Lacrosse Junior coach
and former Greenacres Football Club
player, Mark is a member of many
community organisations including the
Northgate Oakden Residents
Association Committee and RSL and is
trying to restart the Hillcrest Oakden
Neighbourhood Watch. His passions
include the dog walking him, beautiful
parks, planning matters, sport and
community participation.
