YOUNG LIGHTSVIEW HEROES

Earlier in the year, a fire broke out at a residential property

in Lightsview.Three young men, Ryan Coccetti (17), Jayden

Hazzard (13) and LockyWilliams (16) were on their way to

Latitude at Greenacres when they noticed smoke coming from

a house and went to investigate where it was coming from.

After identifying the house, these young guys alerted residents,

neighbours and the fire brigade, before assisting with the

evacuation of the property and neighbouring properties.

The story came to the attention of Cr Mark Basham from

NorthfieldWard, who wanted to show Council's appreciation

for their efforts and positive contributions to the safety of

their community.

At the April Council meeting, certificates of appreciation were

awarded to recognise their selfless and brave acts in helping

others to safety.

Jayden's dad Cam said, "The boys are still on a high relishing in

the moment, receiving this award really meant a lot to them."

This story highlights just a few of the fantastic young people we

have living here in the City of PAE!

REGENCY GOLF CLUB

CELEBRATES SUCCESS

The City of PAE operates a number of public golf courses

where the fairways are smooth and flat, and the greens soft and

true. Regency Park,Valley View and Glanville golf courses each

offer their own unique challenges.

As a founding member of the Public Courses Pennant

Association, Regency Park Golf Club has had a team in both

Division 1 and Division 2 since 1983.This year, a Division

3 competition was established to give 14 plus handicap

players the opportunity to play in a match play competition

representing their club.

After the home and away games concluded this season, the

club had a team in each Division Final. The Division 1 team

won, defeating North Lakes. Division 2 were defeated by

North Haven and Division 3 were defeated by North Adelaide,

although the results were close.

Since 1983 Regency Park Golf Club has won the Division

1 Pennant 18 times and Division 2 13 times exceeding

competition expectations against larger clubs.

Patron of the Regency Park Golf Club, Cr Mark Basham said,

"Not only am I proud to be associated with the Regency Park

Golf Club, I am proud of the beautiful course they play on,

which is a great credit to Council staff. It is a wonderful facility

that all people can enjoy, even a beginner like me.”
