Comparison of National Pollutant Inventory results-

Motor vehicles contribute the major proportion of emissions (60%) in the
City of Port Adelaide Enfield area.
•
Architectural Surface Coating sector are not included as a top emission
source in the 2007/08 and 2009/10 financial years.
•
Domestic and commercial solvents and aerosols are not included as a top
source of emissions in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 financial years.
•
Basic chemical manufacturing source of emissions reduced from 11% in
2007/08 to 4% in 2008/09.
The latter two results may be due to a slowing of the chemical industry’s
production and growth subject to the global financial crisis in 2008 (IBIS world,
June 2011).
