Long Term Financial Plan
Council reviews its Long Term Financial Plan each year primarily to remain consistent with Council’s City Plan,
maintaining current services, assets and capital works program without compromising its sustainability or the
viability of its asset base.
To fund this plan council generates its income from rates and other services and may externally borrow monies
to fund new and upgraded assets, however Council’s treasury management practice will be to always utilise
Council’s cashflow to reduce net borrowing costs over the Plan period.
Note: at the time of preparation, Council had not formally adopted the draft for consultation and therefore the details above are
subject to Council approval. See website for updates.
