ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
PROGRAM
The City of Port Adelaide Enfield supports local artists through
studio residencies in Council-supported creative spaces, to
support their artistic development and practice and facilitate
connections with other studio artists and the community. It
is also an opportunity for us to further our City Plan 2030
Placemaking priority of creating a City where people love to be.
We have been thrilled to have had three local artists recognised
with residencies as part of this program.
TonyWilson has just completed the first residency at Fontanelle
Studio & Gallery.Tony received a City of Port Adelaide Enfield
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Award for his Contribution
to the Arts during this period. His work featured on all the
promotional material for the TARNANTHI at the Port event
and he also held a solo exhibition and delivered community
workshops at the event as well. His residency has enabled him
to develop his art profile enough to move into his own studio
space at Fontanelle.
Tailor Winston, an emerging visual and spoken word artist, has
recently been awarded the second residency at Fontanelle.
As part of this residency she will be conducting spoken word
workshops, so keep an eye on our website for details.
A six month residency was also awarded to Graham Shaw
at Mixed Creative Artisan Studio. Graham will contribute
to placemaking and activation projects during his residency,
whilst he benefits from the opportunity to work in a creative
environment with other artists.

On the weekend 2 and 3 June, the Cities of PAE and Charles
Sturt and theWomen’s Community Centre present a grassroots
festival that creates a platform for women and girls to get
behind the camera and tell their own stories, to shape their own
narratives and to define themselves.
SAGA offers a great volunteering experience and building
community around film, and a way for women and girls to
have their say.
The SAGA:Adelaide International Women’s Film Festival is about
screening these films, telling these untold stories in all their
diversity, through a culturally diverse cacophony of ideas and
world perspectives. It is based on the notion that the stories
of women and girls matter and is a festival full of surprises, so
expect to see lots of unusual and interesting films!
And if you have a story to tell about women from both behind
and in front of the camera, you can submit an entry by 31 March
to
