Issues and opportunities – summary
•
Undertake research to assist in the development of Council's corporate
energy, greenhouse gas emissions and water objectives and targets.
•
Include ambitious actions in the Energy and Water Efficiency
Management Plan to assist in achieving corporate energy, GHG
emissions and water objectives and targets - review annually.
•
Council to apply for Federal and State Government funding for energy
and water efficient projects for Council infrastructure or community
facilities when opportunities become available.
•
Council to be proactive in working with neighbouring councils and the
Local Government Association to effectively plan for the mitigation of
greenhouse gas emissions
