Did you know the following four fast facts
about your four local libraries?
• Each of the libraries offer a PS3 gaming console
for use in the library.
• Wifi is available at the libraries for those with
a wireless enabled device.
• The Libraries subscribe to a variety of online collections
which are offered free of charge to members of the
library service, including language resources and family
history databases.
• There are a few new member vacancies in the Enfield
Book Club which meets 1.30-2.30pm at Enfield Library
on the first Wednesday each month (excluding January).
Comic Art Opportunity
Comic books have been popular for decades as a way
of bringing stories to life by combining text with vibrant
graphics. Following on from the success of our last Comic
Book Drawing Workshop for youth, this new workshop is
offered to adults or youth over 15 years. Join a super comic
book artist as he takes you through the steps of creating your
own unique comic book. You’ll learn tips and techniques
for creating an authentic and interesting looking comic.
Numbers are limited so book now! This free session
includes a break to enjoy some pizza and drinks.
Will be held at the Port Adelaide Library on Thursday
6 June at 4.30-8pm.
iPad winner had the right
eBook answers
A recent statewide competition run by the South
Australian Public Library Services was won by a
customer of Port Adelaide Enfield Library Service.
The ‘Win an iPad’ competition was initiated to celebrate
the launch of the new free eBook and Audiobook service
for SA public library customers.
Customers entered at libraries throughout the state by
completing an entry form with correct answers to two
easy questions;
Q. When will customers be able to access the new
eBook and Audiobook service?
A. Anytime (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Q. Will you have to visit the library to return the
eBooks & Audiobooks you download?
A. No - titles will expire automatically on your
device at the end of the lending period.
The prize was presented to the winning customer at Enfield
Library by Port Adelaide Enfield Mayor Gary Johanson in May.
