Ward Councillors
Port Adelaide Enfield Council comprises
a Mayor and 17 Councillors, distributed
around seven wards that take in the whole
of the City. These are your representatives,
your voice in Council on matters that
concern you in your area, and they are
the people who make the policy decisions
that guide the Council’s administration in
its daily work. If you have any concerns
that should be brought to the attention of
Council, please contact one of the Elected
Members in your Ward.

Christmas Closure
This is an exciting time for any Council.
Elections not only bring new Elected
Members – and this time we welcome six
of them to Council – but they inevitably
result in new commitment and resolve to
serve our City in the best way possible.
It’s wonderful to have such a level of
community participation in the election
of our new Council, who have now made
a declaration of commitment to serve the
community for the next four years.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome
back Mayor Gary Johanson, who has been
such a stalwart advocate for Port Adelaide
Enfield over the past eight years.
We welcome back our returning
Councillors and extend a special welcome
to our new Councillors to the City of
Port Adelaide Enfield; Cr Matt Osborn
for Northfield Ward; Cr Paul Russell for
Klemzig Ward, Crs John Croci and Kim
Dinh for Parks Ward; Cr Michelle Hogan
for Semaphore Ward and Cr Vanessa
McCluskey for Outer Harbor Ward.
We farewell the following Councillors and
thank them for their contributions to our
City. Jenny Bradbrook from Klemzig Ward
(2000- 2014), Bruce Johansen
from Outer Harbor Ward (1995-2000,
2003-2014) and Kevin McCarthy from
Northfield Ward (1989-2014).
You will be able to learn more about some
of our recent achievements when our
Annual Report for 2013-14 is published,
in which we highlight community-based
stories from each of Council’s seven
wards. It will show how your Council
listens to – and responds to – community
issues and concerns, delivering much
more than the basics of rates, roads
and rubbish.
One of the most effective ways we tell you
about Council’s activities is through our
website which, we’re proud to say, has
been rated one of the best across local
government in Australia in ease of access
to essential information.
Underlying all of this is our commitment
to transparency and fairness in the way
we deal with our community. We have
a Public Integrity policy that has, for
example, led to improvements in the
way we handle customer requests
and complaints.
I would like to take this opportunity to
wish our community members all the
best for the festive season.
City Manager (Acting) Wally Iasiello
